Serenity Peak

Description of this aquascape:
This is my first real go at aquascaping, I love the work of the great Amano, especially his Iwagumi's, I had to give it ago. I decided to use mostly ADA products with the full substrate system. The biggest challenge was always going to be combating algae without the use of CO2 injection. I did a 50% water change every day for the first 3 weeks and things have went surprisingly well. It was 5 weeks old at the time of posting and I think the hairgrass is growing in nicely, fingers crossed it will turn out nice in another couple of months. Thanks for looking......... Mark

Simple but complex?!

I love this scape because of the simplicity, but also realise how much thought goes into creating such a scape! Do you think none scapers realise the thought behind a tank like this?

Cheers Andy

Thanks for the cool comment Andy.
I think Iwagumi is far from simple although when I first came across them I thought it would be.

All my mates are non aquascapers and love the tank but laugh when I talk about it and what went into it (cost, getting the stones positioned right, how long it took to split and plant the hairgrass etc)

The biggest challenge now is keeping it immaculate and clean.

Once again thanks for commenting.
